Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits
Social Security Insurance is one of the largest benefits anyone with a disability can get. Disabilities can range from physical to emotional and qualify for benefits. SSI helps with the daily cost of living for those that are unable to work (or are minors) for at least 12 months or that results in death.
USDA Rural Home Grants

Division of Coal Mine Workers' Compensation (DCMWC) Assistance
The DCMWC helps coal miners suffering from Black Lung Disease file claims for medical benefits and financial payments if their disease occurred due to working in the mines. The grant also supports surviving spouses of miners that lost their lives due to Black Lung Disease.
Early Intervention Program for Children With Disabilities
This state-run program provides services to children ages 3 and under with physical, mental, cognitive, and social disability help. The SAH helps veterans purchase an accessible home or make changes to their existing home. The grant provides up to $77,307 to help make the home livable for disabled veterans.
Low Income Energy Assistance Grant
Each state offers assistance for low-income families to pay heating and cooling bills. However, they give priority (early application dates) for the disabled. Assistance is offered at both the state and federal level.
